Ryan Pasquill ticks Bain de Sang

Just before leaving Europe to head back to the UK Ryan Pasquill redponted Bain de Sang (F9a), St Loup, Switzerland.
As with Maddy’s ascent of Prinzip Hoffnung (reported here…) last week, the pair played (out of necessity) the keen bean card and had another super early start!
It brings to an end Maddy and Ryan’s successful trip to Europe. Previously Ryan also ticked Speed Integrale (F9a) at Voralpsee, Switzerland.
BAIN DE SANG (9a) for this guy 《《 ðŸ‘ðŸ‘👠It it always impressive to watch this guy dig deep on non-existent holds, but pulling this one out of the bag first thing in the morning after falling off the top 3 times the evening before was pretty special. All it took was (another!!) 5 am start and some serious power grunts in the "quiet zone" at St Loup. Luckily we made it out before the Swiss police came 😂 Obviously, climbing is our passion and we do it for fun, but these early starts for conditions have made it feel a bit more like work. Time for some lie ins... homeward bound 😜 Nice belay 📷 from @hazel_findlay
The good news is that connies are pretty good now in the UK so Ryan will at least have the opportunity to return to do battle with an old nemesis - Mutation, Steve McClure’s unrepeated test piece at Raven Tor. Trouble is, that might also require early starts although more like pre-10am rather than 5am that Bain de Sang and Prinzip Hoffnung required!!
