Matterhorn lit up
- Friday 10th October 2014
The Swiss mountaineering specialist Mammut and the Zermatt mountain guides have lit up the Hörnligrat Ridge on the Matterhorn in homage to the first ascent of the Matterhorn 150 years ago by British mountaineer, Edward Whymper. Working together, the team used a series of lights to trace the Hörnligrat Ridge to produce a striking and evocative image ahead of the celebrations to mark the first ascent.
Mammut are well-known for their series of very impressive images which they have used to depict their products and this latest photograph sits right up there with the rest as a superb effort on the grand scale. The photography was taken for Mammut by Robert Bosch.
