2017 Boardman Tasker Award shortlist announced

The shortlist for the 2017 Boardman Tasker Award for Mountain Literature has been announced.
The hall of fame – the six shortlisted books for the 2017 BT Award.
Of the six books shortlisted, four are from British publishers three of which are from Vertebrate Publishing. In total 35 books were entered for shortlisting for the prestigious award.
Established in 1983, the Boardman Tasker Award commemorates the lives of Peter Boardman and Joe Tasker – outstanding mountaineers and accomplished authors – who disappeared together high on Everest in 1982. The £3,000 prize is presented annually to the author or co-authors of an original work that has made an outstanding contribution to mountain literature.
The six short-listed books are:

Days to Remember by Rob Collister
The Magician's Glass by Ed Douglas
Naked Night by Erhard Loretan and Jean Ammann
Art of Freedom by Bernadette McDonald
Among the Summer Snows by Christopher Nicholson
