Laura Rogora drives up women’s onsight level with Ultimate Sacrifice (F8c+)

Italian Lead ace, Laura Rogora, takes women’s onsight climbing to a new level with Ultimate Sacrifice, a renowned long and pumpy F8c+ in Gorge du Loup, France.

“What a day!🤯” Laura Rogora wrote on her Instagram page, having onsighted Ultimate Sacrifice F8c+ and the third go redpointed Trip Tip Tonik F9a.

“Without a doubt, my best climbing day ever! 🤩” she added before expressing her thanks to her climbing buddies: “Huge thanks to @claudiaghisolfi, @nicco.no (📸), and @marty_depre for all the support, betas, and the endless belays over the past few days 🙏”

After coming second in the recent IFSC World Cup Lead competition in Madrid, Spain, Laura has spent her time climbing in the Gorge du Loup in southern France. Rogora wasted no time in getting to grips with some of the hardest routes and inevitably making some impressive ascents. Over a three-day period, she was able to make a fifth go ascent of PuntX (F9a+), a redpoint of KinematiX F9a/+ before flashing Hot Chili-X (F8c). Following that, Rogora then sent Just two Fix (F9a/+) on her fourth attempt of the day, having been on it for six days in total.
