Black Diamond support Font clean-up over Easter

Running between April 14th and 17th the Black Diamond project, Chasin-The-Rubbish, aims to clean-up the renowned bouldering wonder-land.

It is the 6th time that Black Diamond has organised its clean-up operation Chasin-the-Rubbish in Fontainebleau over Easter. From 14th-17thApril, the Black Diamond team – athletes and employees – will be in the boulder area of Fontainebleau to share the responsible behaviour in the nature and boulder areas and clean up. 14.04.17: Franchard Isatis 15.04.17: Bas Cuvier 16.04.17: Rocheaux Sabots 17.04.17: Elephant.
Every year at Easter there are an estimated 10,000 climbers and other visitors hanging out at the bouldering blocks in the forest around Fontainebleau. The Rock Project of Black Diamond during these days helps with a responsible approach to nature and rock. The forest offers lots of space and rock. The goal is to preserve this playground for the next generations. Climbing in Fontainebleau has already been popular at the end of the 19th century, and still there are more boulders to be discovered.
Please help us to spread the word on “good climbing practice” on your channels. Often people – new to climbing – from the indoor climbing facilities simply do not know about the right behavior.
Therefore, Black Diamond informs and gives a hand on some easy rules while climbing outside – especially in the sandstone are in Fontainebleau. - climb only with clean climbing shoes (sand on the soles polishes rock) - don’t use too much chalk - don’t leave tickmarks behind - stay on the marked tracks (risk of erosion) - don’t leave behind rubbish (especially no toilet paper) - don’t make fire.
