A Brief Update:

I'm now staying in a Soviet high-rise tower block in the middle of Bishkek and haven't seen another Westerner for the entire (very long) day. Wow, finally somewhere the Lonely Planet hordes have yet to invade! It's been loads of fun so far, and it's only the first day. Just another 4 week 6 days to go then!
